OLIVIER - 200 gélules
The hypotensive action of olive leaves has long been attributed to a single substance, oleuropeoside (an iridoid) responsible for hypotensive, vasodilatory, antiarrhythmic and spasmolytic effects, but other substances, such as oleacein, could account for at least part of the hypotensive action of olive leaves. Useful in preventing arteriosclerosis and coronary heart disease, olive leaf can also be used to treat disorders associated with high blood pressure: headaches, dizziness, ringing in the ears.
1. Description
Olive leaf also has a hypoglycaemic and cholesterol-lowering action (reducing LDL cholesterol levels and increasing HDL levels) and can therefore be used as an adjuvant treatment for non-insulin-dependent diabetes (type 2 diabetes). Other antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal effects, as well as anti-inflammatory properties, also contribute to the beneficial action of olive leaf. Finally, olive is traditionally used to promote diuresis, in other words the elimination of water by the kidneys.
