1. Description
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is produced naturally by cells, from a molecule present in cell membranes. PEA synthesis occurs when our cells are under stress, such as during trauma, infection or an inflammatory reaction. Cells use PEA to rebalance disrupted biological processes.
PEA optimizes the effect of endocannabinoids naturally produced by the body (molecules produced by our cells to reduce the perception of pain). We are therefore talking about an “endocannabinoid-like” effect. Unlike THC in cannabis, responsible for the psychotropic effects of the plant, PEA is an endogenous molecule and therefore has no side effects and has no psychotropic properties.
Under normal circumstances, the body produces adequate amounts of PEA. In certain cases, when inflammatory phenomena are chronic, PEA levels are not sufficient to suppress the body's pro-inflammatory responses; the PEA can then be supplemented. It makes it possible to fight against numerous pains, whether inflammatory, neuropathic, mixed or chronic.
2. Directions for use
For rapid action, 3 capsules per day are recommended. For a maintenance treatment, take 2 capsules per day (morning and evening). It is recommended to continue the treatment for at least two months, to give it time to act in the body.
