The extracts of Gymnema sylvestris and chromium contribute to the maintenance of normal blood sugar levels. The extract of Gymnema sylvestris also aids in weight control. The extract of Banaba works by stimulating the transport of glucose into cells and helps regulate blood sugar levels. The protein extract from white beans neutralises the digestive enzyme, alpha-amylase, before it converts starch into glucose and then into fat. It therefore reduces the caloric value and glycaemic index of all foods containing complex sugars.
